The Trump-brokered ceasefire deal that took effect in October 2025 halted major combat but did not require Israeli withdrawal from the Yellow Line zone.
The U.N. and multiple humanitarian agencies have warned that partitioning Gaza could obstruct aid delivery and block the return of displaced Palestinians to northern areas.
