The facts
The State Department said in October 2026 that the Trump administration has revoked more than 300,000 U.S. visas during his second term.
That total is roughly four times the number of visas revoked during the same period of Trump's first term, according to State Department figures cited by Reuters.
Reasons cited for revocations include overstays, DUI arrests, assault, support for 'terrorism,' and participation in pro-Palestinian campus protests.
Student (F-1) visas account for a significant share of the revocations, with the State Department confirming thousands pulled from foreign students.
Under 8 U.S.C. § 1201(i), the Secretary of State has broad discretion to revoke a visa 'at any time' with limited judicial review.
